Custom Watercolor Wash Map: PRINT (Commission)

A more affordable - yet LOVELY! - option to map your special place. Instead of painting each individual block by hand, I will paint a watercolor wash in color of your choice and merge this with my hand-drawn map (turned white) digitally to create your Map. The result will be a PRINT of your map (not an original painting.)
Your Watercolor Map is created just for you. Please send me the name of the city and a clear idea of the area you'd like to represent - specific neighborhood(s) or sites. You can use the FORM provided at checkout. Generally, a 2 - 4 mile radius from center is a reasonable size for this type of map. Also, is there a special spot around which the map should center? Or a special spot to mark on the map with a small white heart, house or dot?
Once we determine the boundaries of the map with your approval, I will draw the city streets, water and railroads in ink, by hand. Then, I will digitally merge these hand-drawn lines with my hand painted watercolor wash, in a color of your choice. My hand-drawn map lines are turned white over a watercolor wash, creating a beautiful and more affordable "custom" watercolor map. A bold yet modest title in "Watercolor Text" floats along the bottom of your final print. I will contact you soon after your purchase of this commission.
Please allow 3-5 weeks to complete Your Watercolor Map Print. With this commission, you are also entitled to purchase up to ten prints of your piece at half cost! Give prints as gifts to friends and family. Keep a print for yourself if the original is a gift. Win-win. I will paint Your Map in a color of your choice. Tell me what color this special place conjures for you, or choose a color from the menu.
