PARIS, France Original Watercolor City Blocks Map.

With each block painted by hand, an original watercolor of Paris' beautiful plan is just stunning on the wall of your office, business or home, or a wonderful wedding or anniversary gift to be treasured.

I love the complexity and density of historic cities! It's fascinating to roam with your eye over the Haussman-planned streets, with their roundabouts and diagonals through the arrondissements of Paris, abstracted into a figure/ground, or block, plan. Railroad corridors and parks and gardens are painted in a lighter shade to reveal their lines. The map-drawing features the heart of Paris, with its streets and bridges over the river Seine and Ile de la Cite, it's picturesque parks and its rows of rails penetrating the city fabric. The map includes the Arc de Triomphe and Jardin des Plantes on the east and west, respectively. The map is bounded on the north and south just inside the Peripherique.

*This is the original Paris watercolor block painting created in 2015 in a variegated pink with an “autumn wash'“ added in 2022 of red-browns, gold over the original pink.
