With each block painted by hand, an original watercolor of Rome's intricate city plan is just stunning on the wall of your office, business or home, or a wonderful wedding or anniversary gift to be treasured. I love the complexity and density of historic cities! It's fascinating to roam with your eye over the streets of Rome, abstracted into a figure/ground, or block, plan. The way all the different blocks fit together like a puzzle, the ancient, medieval, classical and the modern.

The map-drawing includes Trastevere on the west and the Tiber River and central core of Rome. The map boundaries run from the Piazza del Popolo on the north edge, The Vatican in the northwest corner, the train station in the southwest corner; the Gianicolo and Trastevere comprise the western area of the map.

This is an original Rome Watercolor City Blocks painting. The watercolor is a variegated yellow-orange.

Original Watercolor on thick 140gsm watercolor paper, signed & dated on front - bottom.
