I love city maps! It's fascinating to roam with your eye over the shore lines, rail lines, street grids and curvy, rambling streets. How all those lines together compose a matrix of neighborhoods. I use a variety of pen tips to draw these city lines by hand, differentiating highway and path, water and land, and sometimes adding a grey fill if it suits. Let me "weave" your city's urban fabric with my pens...

I will contact you soon after your purchase of this commission. Please allow 4-6 weeks to complete Your City Lines Map Print. With this commission, you are also entitled to purchase up to ten prints of your piece at half cost! Give prints as gifts to friends and family. Keep a print for yourself if the original is a gift. Your City Lines Map is created just for you. Please send me the name of the city and a clear idea of the area you'd like to represent - specific neighborhood(s) or sites. Generally, a 2 - 4 mile radius from center is a reasonable size for this type of map. Also, is there a special spot around which the map should center?

Once we determine the boundaries of the map with your approval, I will draw the city lines, modulate the intensities of black digitally and create a 17" x 20" or 16” x 20” print of your map-drawing - your choice. A bold yet modest title floats along the bottom of your final print.
